CX30+ Paddle Controller Bundle

The paddle controllers and the games are very fun to play with your children. Atari is way better and more fun to play than playstation for sure. Thank you Atari for bringing fun videogames back to the world!

Stiff, but sturdy.

The feel is night and day from the old paddles. Very stiff out of the box, but if you give it a good amount of quick spins to even out most of the jitters from a 7800+. I get that digital isn’t going to be perfect with no jitters but it’s 2026, you should have solved this by now, especially since you had it solved in 1977. The firmware update improved its ability drastically but still not perfect. Personally I like the feel to be a little more stiff to control it more reliably but if you need ultimate speed for games like Kaboom, these may be a little too slow for a seasoned Atari vet. The cartridge coming with is a 10/10 deal, and these may feel light, but they’re able to take a beating. Real overall score 7/10.

So close to perfect.

First things things first, these are great! There are 2 major problems, though. First, the cord is ridiculously short. My next purchase will be the extension. Second, there's noticeable jitter when playing both Breakout and Super Breakout. It doesn't apply to every game, though. Crazy Brix, for example, plays perfectly. I'm happy with my purchase, but I wish the Breakout and SuperBreakout issues were fixed.
