Canvas Backpack

I love this backpack...

I love this backpack. It is extremely well-made. The colors are great. It holds my 13 inch macbook air with no trouble. I'm considering getting a 15 inch macbook, but I'm not completely sure it will fit even though the description states that it will. Either way, I am thrilled with this product and will continue to buy Tom Beckbe products going forward. Great quality, high price (you get what you pay for), excellent style, and customer service that is second to none.

Elevate your game with a classic look

I have multiple bags for all sorts of different activities (rucking, hiking, the range, EDC, the office, etc.) but I always wanted a classy/vintage bag that I could you use anywhere in the world and feel like it immediately up-leveled my game. The TB Canvas Backpack has become that bag. Not only is it functional but it looks classy. It doesn't scream tactical or look at me, but it subtly says I care about quality and lifestyle. Such a great bag. Makes you find occasions to bring it even when you don't need it because it's such a classic piece. Also, definitely worth getting the sternum strap. Not because you're going to be carry ridiculous amounts of weight but it elevates nicely the look of the bag.

A perfect travel and hike companion

I purchased this backpack based on the use of another waxed canvas backpack from another premium brand. I used that pack for a personal item on flight and daypack during a 3 week trip by train thru Europe to visit Christmas markets. After returning home I set out to find another canvas backpack that fixed the things I didn’t like about the one I had just used. I’m a fan of the heritage of waxed canvas products and appreciate its history of protecting people and equipment from the elements outdoors for decades. This TB pack is very similar to my previous one in size, layout and materials. It is different in the use of modern design for increased comfort and use while keeping the heritage vibe. First I like the strap system that can be quickly adjusted while on the go. My first one had leather belt straps that were a pain to adjust for times you put on or took off a heavy winter jacket. Second I appreciate the addition of sternum strap holders on the strap pads. I was able to find an add on chest strap that matched and works great. Next the addition of zippers to protect the items in the back pockets is greatly appreciated. My other pack only has a flap that did not protect contents from falling out or bad weather. Next the addition of mesh on the back and straps help in keeping heat from building up and adds comfort. The side pockets with flaps that can be used for water bottle, umbrella, etc is also great. They fit a Yeti rambler perfectly. Finally it’s such a simple thing that makes a big difference - that is the luggage pass thru. It’s no fun schlepping thru the airport or train station with luggage and not able to set the backpack securely on top as you roll it without having to fumble with your own strap. The quality of this pack along with the guarantee to repair any manufacturing defects make this a BIFL (Buy It For Life) purchase for me. I’m looking forward to using it for upcoming trips and hikes for a long time. I have my eye on the Ducks Unlimited one too I love the color - maybe next Christmas.
