Now, let me just say that I’ve actually used quite a bit of different type’s of Chemlight System’s.. now this system definitely isn’t the most elaborate by any means, I mean what do you expect for $5.95? I bought 2 of these and just combined them together and these are surprisingly intuitive, especially for such a pretty standard system… I really like it, definitely nothing to go crazy for, but I really love the simplicity to it…
Now the only thing I do differently when I’m using this on my belt, is I have the piece of nylon webbing that I got from Finance & Maneuver, it’s called Mauna’s NUTS, which actually uses the same metal retaining ring’s..
But unlike the F/M one, this system actually comes with about a 16” piece of black 550 cord, 4-5 smaller Ranger Bands and of course, the 2 metal retaining ring’s.. (which I believe are coated because I do my own gear shakedown’s, especially weather, I left the ring’s out in the rain for a few hour’s, they never rusted..
