X-Mid 2 is a great tent!
I've had an X-Mid 1 for a couple of years that has accompanied me on some hiking trips and is hands-down my favorite tent. I recently had a backcountry canoe trip planned with my son, so I purchased the X-Mid 2 for us to use. It was perfect...plenty roomy for the two of us, with some gear stashed inside and the rest stored in the vestibules. Two 25" wide sleeping pads filled up the floor width perfectly. It's hard to beat the simplicity, compactness, lightweight, and ease of setup of the X-Mid tents.

I set it up and used it in the yard a few time to get familiar with it and was pretty happy but I finally got to have Mother Nature put this tent through it’s paces. I just got back from a backpack trip with HEAVY rain the first night and moderate to high winds the whole trip and it held up beautifully. I could look around camp and see other tents flapping and shaking wildly and another folded completely in half while the durston had nothing but ripples blowing across it. I am very impressed. It’s also a much lighter option than my last tent. When my brother pulled it out of my pack to help me set it up, he set it aside twice not believing that what was in that stuff sack was heavy enough to possibly be a two man tent. He finally went back to it when there were no more options left and couldn’t believe it .

X-Mid 2 P
I have been looking at that trekking pole tent for a year and a half. Decided to finally buy it to lighten our packs for our upcoming trips this year. The wife could not believe there was a tent in the shipping box, was so small and so light. After watching countless videos, pitched it perfectly the first time. Love it, well made and will serve us for many many years. And it is Canadian made by a real backpacker. Thx Dan
