Two weeks after receiving it I finally got clear skies, and for First Light I went for the low-hanging fruit of Andromeda. I love the features and results straight from the app. A tiny bit of personal preference tweaking in Lightroom and I am very impressed!

I'm new to astrophotography. I've tried using star trackers with my camera in the past and have had a little success photographing a few targets, but it's always been a bit frustrating setting up and finding targets. Then I got my s50 pro. From the first shot it has been a joy. It's so easy to set up and find the targets you want to get pictures of. It's also easy to transfer your data to your pc if you prefer to use 3rd party software instead of the seestar app to process your shots. The only drawback is in fact using the app to process your shots. It's kind of hit or miss as to the quality of the finished picture. It goes without saying that your shots will almost always look better when processed by software specifically designed for astrophotography image processing, but the app will at a minimum let you see how decent your data is and for quick results. Even with that specific drawback about processing your images, the app is excellent for controlling the scope, picking targets and setting up plans. Nothing is perfect but the s50 pro sets a high mark as to quality of the instrument and quality of the output So I have to really recommend the s50 pro to anyone, especially to anyone who is just starting out in astrophotography. It's high quality hardware and output will provide an excellent experience right out of the box and is something that will allow you to grow in your abilities in this hobby for a long time.

First clear night was just a couple of days ago. Took some nice pics of the moon. Worked great. Looking forward to expanding into deep space objects next. Only problem is with the mosquitos. But that's not the telescopes problem.
