Good kit -- but very easy fixes to make it a GREAT kit!

I had a lot of fun assembling this kit. The look is so impressive -- it looks unlike most other model rockets (almost has a 2001: A Space Odyssey look to it). The included jig is PERFECT in helping to align all the "tanks" on the sides of the ship. The kit is not as difficult to assemble as the "Master" designation would imply. However, I would ask Estes to PLEASE include enough solar panel decals to cover all six sides of the fins...I had to cut them into individual squares, and use 3 squares for each fin. Also the numbers attached to the red stripes only work on one side of the ship -- for the opposite side (the one not shown in the package photographs), the numbers would be upside-down. I had to cut the numbers and place them separately. In the end, it came out looking very impressive. To conclude, this is a good kit, but could truly be GREAT with just a few decal tweaks!

A real eye catcher and my fellow rocket watchers loved the design. I did some upgrades and replaced balsa fins with lexan and primed and painted with a white pearl automotive paint. Looks beautiful and the first flight went off without a hitch . Reached an altitude of 800 feet , recovery system worked perfectly and I recovered it with no damage. My collection is growing and my neighbors are impressed with my entertaining flights. So it's a winner!! I recommend this rocket because it was a fast and easy build .
