Skwala Carbon Fiber Wading Boots
Boots are comfortable and obviously great for hiking/backpacking to high mountain lakes. The only negative I've experienced while wearing them one time in a freestone stream withe slick, mossy river rock out west is that the soles don't grip at all. I will use them backpacking, fishing from banks or shore, and floating in my pontoon.

Solid boot, but studs needed for serious wading.
I've used these boots twice so far, once without studs and once with. I find that they definitely need studs to get traction in the rivers I fish which have lots of large rocks with a layer of mud and algae on them. The boots seem well made and provide good support although they are a little heavier then my "O" brand light weight boots. They fit better than other boots I have worn although I do struggle to get them as tight as I like on the upper part because of the padding in the tongue of the boot.

Carbon Boot
I can't give you an honest review, as I have not fished in them yet and won't get the chance to do so until late September. I tried them on with wading socks and waders, and the fit seemed fine. I wear a size 12 shoe, and ordered size 13 boots. They certainly are not too large. This is my first pair of rubber soled wading boots, and I am worried about their ability to grip. I know they won't be like felt, but I hope they're not deadly. I have fished with people who spent the whole day complaining about their boots. A couple of them went swimming because the boots had no traction. Hopefully, the newer soles are better.
