Loadable Dumbbell Bars - Pair

Only for light weight or little to no dumbbell movement

Not sure if I should write this review for the dumbbells or the locking clamps but i ordered both at at the same time. The dumbbells themselves seem to be pretty good quality. I bought them because it says they hold up to 200 lbs per dumbbell and it seemed more economical then buying all the heavy singular dumbbells I would need to do workouts like presses and curls at home. First time I tried to do curls with them with a total of 50 lbs loaded on each dumbbell the plates began to slide off to the point I had to stop before my set was finished. I was using the magnetic clamps I ordered with the dumbbells so I switched to the clamps that come with the dumbbells and had the same problem. I eventually ended up using both magnetic and spring clamps just to finish my workout. I emailed them and they told me they wanted a video of me using the dumbbells to see what the issue may be. I tried to record myself but I can only do so many sets in a period of time while trying to capture them failing while also actively trying to make sure they don't fail so bad to the point I drop a plate on myself. Eventually just gave up and only used them for workouts with less then 40 lbs loaded per dumbbell and they didnt really give me an issue other then having to push the clamps and plates tight against the shoulder of the dumbbells after I was done each set. I just decided tonight to try lifting heavy with them again. I had 50 lbs on each dumbbell and did a set of incline bench. After the set I made sure clamps were tight against plates like I have been. During second set as soon as I get both dumbbells in the extended position one plate on my right side fell off onto the floor, and as I was trying to set both dumbbells down without hurting myself a plate on my left fell off as well. I was using the magnetic clamps. So now I guess im going to have to find another clamp that will hopefully hold 50 plus lbs on the bar instead so that this purchase wasn't an entire waste of money. Like I said anything under 40 lbs seemed fine but I bought these as an alternative to 70+ lb dumbbells so only being able to do light weight does absolutely nothing for me. Hopefully this will save others looking to put heavy weight on these the headache I have gotten from trying
