WAFFLE RAGLAN

A super superlative waffle. Maple syrup optional.

If you are a being of distinction who favors refined goods with character - notably if you admire attire suitable for Star Wars, Dune, or Burning Man - then this is your waffle top. Love the details like raw hems, contrasting stitch panels, chunky piping. Ideal fabric weight is right in the middle - substantial enough to serve as your favorite cozy pullover, yet breathable. Highly stretchy fabrication that will move with you. I like that. Extra long sleeves (on me, anyway) amplify the cozy factor, complete with thumb hole details. Super pleased with the “White Stone” hue which I enthusiastically selected as everything else is varying attractive shades of dark. Light colored clothing can be edgy too in the right ways - as evidenced by this raglan waffle. Easy to launder. Quality all around, with handsome touches. This ain’t your granddad’s waffle top. So…I cannot with a squeeky clean conscience award it a perfect five stars as it is not a perfect experience for me. A size Small was the least ample that OGT offers, which is rather roomy for my 5’ 6” 145 pound frame. Many humans possess fleshy frames much smaller than mine, so I wonder how they would feel. I do actually like the resulting length. While a bit of extra lateral space is generally welcome on such a pullover cozy knit garment - versus, say, a blazer with which I want a slimmer fit - I would have preferred a *somewhat* less roomy drape, like maybe two inches closer. That would still be roomy enough for me. Having said all that, our esteemed waffle garment is my go-to pullover - a satisfying acquisition. Too many great positive attributes and character that I simply cannot find elsewhere. I have other garments from OGT and will continue acquiring others, so long as they continue offering white hues. Love what OGT does, their products, and their ethos. Attractive website experience too. Somewhat spendy garments, but not exorbitantly like some “designer” brands. The resulting experience is quite concordant to the financial outlay.

It definitely feels more premium than a typical sweater you’d find at places like Banana Republic or other semi-luxury brands. My only issue is the fit. It feels a bit loose, especially on the first wear, and it doesn’t hug the body, so you don’t really feel that warmth or structure. I’m thinking that after washing and drying it, it might shrink slightly and fit better, which would probably improve it for me. Overall, it’s a fine sweater. It looks good, the quality is there, and I do like it — the fit is just more relaxed than what I personally prefer
