Condition/Clean Applicator Kit

Very pleased with results so far! Picture review: One pic shows a Discolored BACK SEAT panel. This upholstery is 30+yrs old and garage kept, and is FAUX leather in a '69 Camaro! FYI-The advertisement does state that it does work of Faux Leather! (Follow Instructions!) Over the years the top section became discolored, BUT just to a line, just below the molding, as seen in this picture! (Maybe an original factory or storage defect, that surfaced over time, and the other side is discolored EXACTLY the same!?) I used the Clyde's kit (following instructions) and treated the section ABOVE the molding ONLY! In the other picture, I showed a comparison to the adjacent FRONT DOOR panel, where the top treated area, of the BACK SEAT panel, now matches the DOOR Panel! I kept a small section of the original discoloration on the BACK SEAT panel visible, below the molding, as a comparison as well! The "Recoloring Balm" is a pasty kind of a stain, that you rub into the surface, IN THIN LAYERS. When a layer dries (5 min) you rub more in, repeatedly, until a final color tune is realized (you decide when to stop the layering!) It dries to a rubbery texture (vinyl-ish). It is water-soluble while wet, BUT NOT after drying! If you get it on your fingers, it is "penetrating" and cannot be scrubbed off with a pumas hand cleaner! I had to use Acetone, to remove it! (my fingertips turned bleached white, in my case!) Maybe wear cloves! I would recommend! (Follow the instructions!)

After cleaning and re-dyeing, our 26 year old faded leather couch, side chair and ottoman look brand new. Cleaning and application of the dye were straightforward. Thank you very much!

This is a very comprehensive kit full of quality materials. For a first time leather restorer, it was fairly easy to use.
