Oud Intense

It’s a lovely Oud material but it’s definitely not as strong as I expected it to be. I did a recreation of Ombre Nomade using Oud Intense this time rather than Pretty Oud by Firmenich and it came out with a much more subtle oud note. I think I will try one more time and double the Oud. Overall a very pleasant Oud though, not animalic at all.

Holy Smoky Goodness..

Whoever said this is a fragrance on its own, SPOT ON! PRICEY, BUT WORTH IT IF YOU HAVE THE CASH TO SPEND. I HAVE OUD ASSAFI, BUT THIS IS DIFFERENT, MORE REFINED, SMOKY BUT NOT IN AN UNTOLERABLE WAY. Nice, Smoky & Clean Woody Oud Base. I COULD BE MISTAKEN, BUT IM ALSO GETTING A PINE NOTE WHEN SMELLING IT NEAT. POSSIBLY EVEN VERY LIGHT FRANKINCENSE! ALL IN ALL, FANTASTIC! SO GLAD I GOT THE 15G BOTTLE & NOT A SMALLER SIZE, WISH I could have gone bigger!! MY FAVORITE ITEM SO FAR, AND I HAD ALMOST 50 MATERIALS IN THAT LAST ORDER SO, IT'S REALLY GOOD. THANKS FRATERWORKS 🙏

Intensely good

When I first opened the bottle, I was expecting some seriously intense oud... in fact, I was preparing myself to smell not just one goat, but the whole stable. Imagine my surprise when I instead noticed a very gentle, but still firm and clear oud note. Finally I found a relatively "neutral" base that was not as dry as cedar, but instead much more lively. Usually if you use oud as a base for something gentle, like a floral, the oud just overpowers the other notes. But this base is perfect. It's firm and characteristic, yet roomy enough to let flowers bloom as they should.
