The Reader as Consumer

I’m in journalism so I am empathetic to what makes a publication survive. I’m still dismayed at the number of ads . The article on Middleburg, a place where family lives was very well done and why I paid what I did to purchase it. I found it displayed in my doctors office the next week and could have saved the exorbitant amount I paid . I had thought of subscribing and purchasing the magazine as gifts, but Id be buying a multitude of ads for maybe one worthwhile article a month.
