Spread Saver

It took many hours to assemble but I managed to get it completed before my yearly game of Twilight Imperium. I can confirm this considerably reduces the amount of tokens all over the place and the "spread" needed for each player. Assembly notes: It also took over an hour to put all the pieces into the organizer, but I imagine setup the next game will be MUCH shorter. Make sure to assemble the expansion first if you have it, as the mech slot does not exist on the base set. The one drawback we found is that the faction cards VERY easily fall out of the faction trays; possibly a lip or some way to close the open card section might help but not sure how that would be implemented. For the Thunder's Edge expansion there are 5 more factions so you will not have enough faction trays (at least until Broken Token makes that set!). We found that some of the races have more pieces so I would advise keeping those races in bags as they may not fully fit otherwise. I did not assemble the "spacer" or the non-expansion "sliding tray" and you can see the un-needed pieces in the picture. During setup I used a butter knife to keep the "sliding trays" elevated and away from the glue on the rest of the player tray (this was a problem on the first one I tried but I fixed it before the glue set).

Excellent Insert

I got the Twilight Imperium 4 Base game and expansion insert at the same time. They are both excellent. My suggestion is to put a warning on the base game instruction booklet that the player tray will be different if you plan to use the expansion insert. Best to just include the expansion insert part with the base game so that when you do make the expansion, you don't need to tear down the old player trays to retrofit it. It will be very difficult for those that already use glue to secure the trays. It would be nice if you can use laser to etch the name of each faction on each of the faction trays. So it is easy to find the correct faction during setup. Thanks.
