I love this board
I have a few paddle boards. I picked up my first lakeshore this year and I loved it. At the beginning of the season I picked up a Sierra. It’s the only board I wanted to ride. So I came back for the Rover. I’m a big guy, 6’ 2’’ and 235 lbs. I don’t have any problems riding my Sierra. But the Rover is really stable and fast on the open water. Going against the current I caught up to and passed 7 other paddle boarders like they were sanding still. It can handle a lot of weight. My son is 6’5’’ I don’t know what he weights, but he’s a moose. He loves this board and he’s much faster on it. My wife rode it and pulled way ahead of me. Which I didn’t like. The Rovers a bigger board. So it it’s a little less maneuverable than the Serra. I still like it better than my Pau Hannas. If your going to be cruising around in open water this is a great board. Especially if you are a bigger guy, or have a lot of gear that you want to haul along. It’s a maneuverable board and is decent in shallow/tighter areas. But it’s 14 foot. So you will have to account for its size. This probably wouldn’t be my first board purchase unless you are a bigger guy or have your heart set on hauling your camping gear. But it’s a great addition if you are looking for a 2nd board for longer expeditions. I can’t say enough good things about my Lakeshore boards. If you don’t have one you are missing out.
