ezhi&aka make some of the most inventive pedals out there. (“Out there” being the operative phrase.) They describe Running for 78 as producing the sound of a skipping CD player - as in when you’re running for the #78 bus. But that sells this pedal short. To my ears, it is the corrosion on your tin can telephone. It’s sun spot interference in the signal of the cosmos. It’s fizz and rust and rattle. And it is beautiful. It takes the cleanest of signals and returns them as if they’ve lived a life of hard knocks and hard-won wisdom. A fantastic tool in the sound shapers kit.

A Must For Ambient Players

I've been using a Montreal Assembly Count to 5 for my glitchy ambient music but was getting tired of it and wanted something new. Randomly stumbled upon the Running for 78 and instantly fell in love! The IR sensor is super fun to play with and you can do some pretty crazy stuff when you pair it with delays/reverbs. You have a lot of precise control over different parameters but it honestly sounds great with everything dimed, which is how I run it.

this pedal is very wierd and very very fun. sound is like ghost. it change a lot just by tweaking the setting a little. using ir sensor, this is crazy.
