SPOON HOOK CARVER

I have used a bunch of hook knives from the “name brand” commercially available options. Even one from the Ukrainian forges. I wish I had just bought a set of these from the start. Amazing cutter. Massive improvement on the first knife I was in the middle of making when I opened the package. Smooth finish and easy removal of wood. I got experimental with how well it was cutting and areas around the rim were I would have previously worried about tear out cut like butter.

Wonderful blades!

I ordered a number of blades and they all came sharpe and ready to go. The finish was excellent and I enjoyed making handles for them. My first knife, ended up needing redoing because the round steel was ground down/bent on one side so when installed it was not in line but pointed upward. I adjusted the angle of the drill on the second handle and was able to get the blade in line with the handle. I checked the other blades and found one more with the same problem, so I adjusted the angle of the drill as needed. They are sharp from the beginning and hold a good edge. I would recommend these blades to anyone who wants to do some wood carving, just check to see if the blade shank is straight, if not adjust angle of drilling!
