Built to last
The steps look great and will last forever. Install wasn’t the easiest, but that’s really only because finding a 17/32” drill bit was next to impossible. Not sold at Home Depot, Harbor Freight, Autozone, or Oreillys. Found 12 at Ace Hardware 30 miles away. I’d make sure you have all the required tools before the package arrives. Hand set the rivet nuts which I couldn’t have done if I were a weaker man, but luckily with my incredible strength I was able to set them with a rivet nut tool from harbor freight. All in new tools were less than $50. Install was about 2 hours.

Poor Positioning
I have a lot of Flatline gear on my 2023 Transit. Including their front bumper and skid plate. All great stuff. But these steps fall short. They are tucked away under the van in a position that limits the stepping surface. Having brackets that positioned them outward and upward would be a notable improvement. Stepping on them is not natural, and requires aiming and a limited surface when exiting the van.

Had to be done
A little pricey, but don’t regret it one bit. One of the first mods I did, and just looks and feels tough. A friend put it quite well, “adds character.” I never drilled through anything but drywall once nor used a rivet gun, but I was able to install myself, with no damage to my van or steps haha. As a novice it did take me all weekend rather than the suggested 2.5 hours, but that included tasks like going to hardware store to get a magnet on a rod to fish out busted nuts, etc. Roofrack is next….. Come on Black Friday *fingers crossed*
