Similar to the old Sea Salt, but not quite
Of all the old bar soaps, my favorite was Sea Salt. It was refreshing, clean but not overpowering. Pacific Dive is more aligned with the Sea Salt + Citrus line found in the 2-in-1 shampoo and deodorant products. Still a clean and subtle scent that I have enjoyed so far, since I could not get Sea Salt bar soap anymore. Basically, if you like a less aggressive scent for your soap, then I highly recommend it. I won't give it 5 stars however, for 2 reasons: grit and color. First, they added in kelp for a mild bit of exfoliation. Personally, I don't typically like exfoliating soap, but this one isn't too bad. It's got enough texture for dirt and dry skin, without being so rough it severely scratches you up. I would prefer it without the kelp exfoliant, but it won't stop me from continuing to use it. Second, while I do enjoy the pleasant sea green color of the soap... I don't enjoy seeing streams of sea green water pooling in the bottom of the shower and leaking from the bar down the side of my shower after I put it back down. Is that just a side effect of the kelp, too much Chromium Oxide Green, or something else? I don't need soap that looks pretty, I just need it to clean my body. The old Sea Salt bars were a boringly calm, flat gray color and did the job perfectly well (without producing streams of vibrantly colored water). Bring back the old bar soaps; even if they aren't the 2-in-1 soap/shampoo bars, I'd still buy them. I think the old ones last longer, too.
