Kifaru have always been my favourite

I’ve had Kifaru packs for getting on for 20 years now, with my Molle Express (Gen 1) still going. Sure it’s had a few new zippers and the plastic hardware is showing signs of age/fatigue but it’s still good. I’ve had a Pointman, MMR, Xray, Koala, countless pouches. Basically, I loved the (now discontinued) military range. The quality of the Shape Charge feels just as good in terms of manufacturing, with my only slight misgivings (and admittedly probably just OCD/lack of expertise in pack building) being the lower shoulder strap stitch points and the use of 3D mesh on the back panel. Stories of it hauling more than it should are comforting but I do wish the military line (with their hypalon, box stitching in the lower shoulder strap attachment area and plain back panel) were still available. Other than those points, I’m super happy with it. Good, well thought out features, nicely made from quality materials. I don’t think it’ll last as long as the trusty Molle Express but it’s a different design ethos for a different use. I’m now eyeing up an Ark frame bag.

The Shape charge is by far the best backpack I’ve ever owned. Extremely well built and thought out! Expensive but worth every penny.

What a awesome piece of equipment built like a tank and so comfortable to wear loving this pack only had it for a couple weeks now, but it is amazing built very durable and has all the right organization that you need.
