High rate of trapping

Recently we’ve been achieving some satisfying rates of trapping rats. We rebated our 3 traps and in the space of just two or three days, we’ve been catching 5 or 6 rats. That’s happened a couple of time recently.

Rat trap

Easy enough to set up. It took care of a family of 5 rats in my garden. It doesn't accurately reflect the number of "strikes" but the flies alerted me and I then had to hunt for the deceased rats in the bushes. It does the job, just not quite as neatly as the advertising suggested

Early impression

The Supplied nut paste doesn’t seem to be tasty to rats around here. Placed around the known feeding area and glaringly untouched over several days. Changed to peanut butter baits and immediate take up by the pests. Loaded the baits around the trap for a week then moved baits into the trap and filled the bait receptacle . All baits inside the the trap consumed but the piston was not triggered. They avoided the trigger mechanism expertly and continue to do so.
