Sadly Underwhelming

As a former high school teacher I was full of excitement and expectation to purchase this for my grandchild. Sadly, I found the ocular lens dirty, the other lenses and focus to be inadequate. So much potential!

I bought this for my niece who is 9 and she absolutely loves it! It’s such good quality too.

Discovery Microscope

What do you buy a ten year old grandson who according to his Dad (my son) 'doesn't need anything'? As a former teacher, I opted for something educational that would encourage him to explore and examine his immediate surroundings. His science teacher mother was impressed with the quality of the microscope. I'm hoping it gives him many hours of discovery.
