Great kit, only gripe I had with the build was some pins of the switches being connected directly to the ground plate, which made getting the contacts hot enough to solder a bit challenging. But nothing that's not doable with a bit of perseverance.
As for the board itself: Stenography always fascinated me, and this board is a great way to try it out for yourself at a very reasonable price point. Setup with plover was pretty smooth, and the serial mode allows you to use it at the same time as your regular keyboard, even if your OS is set to a non-standard layout.
The accessories (e.g. cable) are also of very high quality & feel substantial and durable.
