Nice shoes, Frustration and issues

I’m really disappointed with my experience. The shoes themselves are great - very comfortable and well made which makes the situation even more frustrating, because I can’t actually wear them. I contacted customer service before ordering and was advised to choose size 5 based on my measurements. Unfortunately, the shoes turned out to be too small. I tried to return them, but the process has been extremely difficult. I exchanged several emails with the company, but they never provided a prepaid return label. The return cost is £98, while the shoes cost £149, which makes returning them unreasonable. The website mentions “free returns”, but it turns out this only applies to Australia, which is only clearly stated in the terms and conditions. This feels misleading. Now the 30-day return period has passed, and I’m left with shoes I can’t wear. It’s a shame, because the product itself is really good, but the return policy and customer service experience have been very disappointing.
