Boar Brush Grip

I was so looking forward to getting this brush and it looked great. Unfortunately, the grip of the brush is really slippery - there is no grip. Due to the material made for the handle, I thought maybe by running the handle under the tap would take the slipperiness off it - it hadn’t. Unfortunately I cannot use it - maybe I had one from a bad batch? The barrel of the brush is good though - large.
