Radio Cable

The cable with the K-type connector works perfectly, no problems. The cable looks flimsy and is quite thin. However, the cable for the Yeasu FT5D radio is thicker, and the 3.5mm Jack connector is good. Unfortunately, the headphone jack on the radio is quite loose, so I had to secure the plug to the radio with a rubber band to secure the connection, as shown in the photo. I recommend the Headset MMCX headphones and other accessories from this company; they're great products.

I purchased this to connect my Yaesu 850L radio. The website doesn’t list it as being compatible and only up to the 750 model. However, I looked up the cable for the 850 on Yaesu website. It’s the same one as the 750. It works perfectly.

If you’re planning on using an AV band radio for communication, this cable is a must. I use the Bluetooth ICOM radio but when connected via Bluetooth, the audio in the headset was barely audible. And my transmission came in broken and unreadable. The wired connection fixed all of that plus the PTT button on the headset now functions.
