My go to chews

Veloforte Nero Energy Chews have become a really dependable part of my long‑ride routine: two chews at a time give me around 30 minutes of steady energy, without any sugar crash or stomach drama. The blackcurrant flavour is spot on – rich, fruity and moreish enough that I have to stop myself inhaling the whole pack at once. Texture‑wise they’re soft and easy to chew on the move, and each packet packs in the equivalent of roughly two gels’ worth of carbs, plus electrolytes. The only downside is the packaging: the sachets can be a bit fiddly to open and to fish just a couple of chews out of mid‑ride, so a more pocket‑friendly, easy‑access design tweak would make a good product feel almost perfect.

My default source of carbs

These chews are the easiest to eat source of energy l have come across. Practically melt in my mouth. Also the foil packaging is so easy to open which is, a, real boon when you are tired.

I thought amarena cherry flavour was my favourite, but blackcurrent has move the bar even hire. Its great that functionality of the food co-exists with great taste
