Best Pride and Prejudice retelling I've ever read!
I really loved this book. It's the best Pride and Prejudice retelling I've ever read. Jane Austen's original characters are all mirrored here in the form of Libyan Muslim Americans, and the author's ingenuity with them made it such a fun read! OF COURSE "Leedya" would be a hijabi social media influencer, and Maryam would be a reserved, introverted Salafi, and Elizza a passionate and prejudiced MBA student!
I loved the halal romance, the Muslim values, the realities of striving to be a good Muslim and grappling with the judgments of your Muslim community, the sisterhood, and the cozy entertaining vibes. I'd say it's suitable for Muslim teens and above :)
