Rambler Rucksack, 20L

Happy with the rucksack so far, it's comfortable to wear on hill walks and looks quite stylish. I think it would be perfect if it had two side pockets.

Simple, traditional daysack.

I love this bag. It's got no unnecessary 'features', just a simple, old fashioned design. Been using it for just a few weeks but it seems well made, with sturdy fabric that should last years. The slim design means it works as a 'small cabin bag' on budget airlines too (if you don't overstuff it). 20 litres is big enough for essentials for a day out if you are sensible. The back and shoulder straps are well padded, with enough adjustment for me or my 8 year old son to both use it comfortably. Haven't had it out in the rain yet but the lidded design should protect contents (and cope with being overstuffed when needed) better then a zip. No waist/hip belt - but that isn't really necessary when you aren't lugging huge loads. Handy zip pockets inside and outside lid good for valuables and bits you need to access quickly.
