What a Disappointment

BeatBuddy 2 MINI - what a disappointment. It works, the sounds are acceptable and it’s easy enough to use. But it so easily could have been so much more. It appears to have 233 “different” patterns, but really it’s got about 30 different patterns and 200 insignificant variations on those patterns. All this does it make it hard to find what you’re looking for. Of those 233 patterns 190 are in 4/4 and most of them seem to have at least 100 hits per measure. Why not get rid of the redundant patterns and add more truly different beats, more 3/4, more world beats, and some simple “boom chicka - boom chicka - boom chicka - boom” beats. I know, there’s the metronome, but that’s one place some minor variations make sense. Add some swing meters, and a “boom click, click, click” to complement the existing “click, boom, boom, boom”. Now for an overall disappointment with Singular Sound - Package Protection should be an opt-in rather than an opt-out surcharge.

Good practice tool.

Zero support is available for the BB mini 2. Wish I would have chosen the full size model. It’s fun to play around with but definitely could play a gig with it.

Purchased a Pre-owned Mini. Looks and sounds great, saved a few dollars and reduced tech waste.
