Fair skin, healthy glow!

I have quite fair skin & had a skin cancer scare years ago, so I’ve always been pretty cautious about sun exposure. I started using SaltyFace a couple of years ago but this was the first time I purchased the body brush & it made the application process so much easier & more even. I wanted a bit of colour on my legs for a wedding so I tried the body foam & brush together and loved the result. The application with the brush was much easier than using my hands, the foam blended so nicely & it gave my skin an even, natural looking glow. I’ve tried a couple other self tanners & always struggle to achieve a streak-free tan but with SaltyFace, the only areas that needed a bit of fine tuning were my knees, ankles, and toes. I’ve since found that lightly buffing those areas with a dark facecloth after application prevents any excess buildup. The only thing that would make the tanning foam even better for me is if the coconut scent they offered last summer became a permanent option! I enjoy a little, light fragrance in my body products & that scent was lovely. Overall, this is by far the easiest tanning product I’ve used & one of the most natural looking for my fair skin. I like that I can do one application & still get a nice subtle glow or I can apply it a couple of days in a row to build a darker tan. Best of all, I got the healthy looking glow I wanted for the wedding without looking like an Oompa Loompa!

A Bit Streaky, But I’m Not Giving Up Yet

I’ve done a lot of self tanning over the years, and this was my first time trying Salty Face. Honestly, I had a bit of a hard time with it. I found it went on pretty streaky, and I had to reapply on day two to try and blend everything out. Next time I’ll definitely try using a mitt instead of the brush to see if that helps with application. That said — I love that it’s not sticky at all and there’s barely any smell (huge win). The colour pulled a little more orange than I personally like, but I’m willing to give it another shot and see if I can get a better result with a different application method. I will say, I absolutely love everything else from Salty Face — especially the freckles and the tanning water. Those are staples for me ✨

Not overly impressed

The one thing I like about this product is that it doesn't smell and doesn't come off on anything, that's a huge plus! However, the application with the brush was horrible even and I ended up super streaky and had to wear pants and full sleeve tops until it wore off, I exfoliated beforehand too. I tried again without the brush and it was much better. Not sure I would purchase again but will use this until it runs out and see if I change my mind.
