Tomodomo is awesome!

So I saw the add for the mochi 3 and I pulled the trigger on the tomodomo instead! My wife loves it as well as myself. Everyone asks where I got it! Super happy with my purchase!. The only thing I wish it could do is use an accelerometer so do certain animations while accelerating or cornering.

Product feedback - Dasai Tomodomo

Dear Dasai Team, I recently purchased a Tomodomo and wanted to share some constructive feedback based on my ownership experience. Firstly, I would like to say that I genuinely appreciate the creativity behind the product. The Tomodomo is a unique automotive accessory that brings personality and fun to the driving experience. The animations are charming, the concept is original, and it consistently attracts positive attention from passengers. That said, I encountered a few issues that I believe could be improved in future iterations. 1. Build Quality While the product functions as intended, the physical construction feels less premium than I expected based on the product’s pricing and marketing. The materials and overall finish give a somewhat toy-like impression. Given the premium positioning of the Tomodomo, I believe improvements in material quality and fit-and-finish would significantly enhance the ownership experience. 2. Dashboard Mounting Solution My main concern is the supplied Velcro mounting base. Living in Malaysia, where interior vehicle temperatures can become extremely high, the adhesive did not hold up well under normal parked-car conditions. The adhesive softened and partially melted, leaving sticky glue residue on my dashboard. As an automotive-focused product, I believe the mounting system should be designed and tested specifically for prolonged exposure to high cabin temperatures commonly experienced in tropical climates. A higher-temperature adhesive, improved mounting base, or alternative attachment method would be greatly appreciated. 3. Long-Term Durability Given the intended use inside vehicles, customers naturally expect components and adhesives to withstand heat, UV exposure, and daily driving conditions over an extended period. Improving durability in these areas would further justify the product’s premium price point. Overall, I still enjoy the Tomodomo and believe it is one of the most creative automotive accessories currently available. My feedback is provided in the spirit of helping improve an already interesting product. With some refinements to the materials and mounting system, I believe the Tomodomo could offer an even better experience for customers worldwide.
