Round Cabinet Knobs On Square Backplate

Very disappointed with my purchase. Awful to fit as the square back plates move as you turn the knob to tighten it. Very obvious if you haven’t got the square back plate level. The back plate does have locating spikes to push into the cupboard doors but they are not long enough so don’t work. Suffolk Latch suggested we glue the back plate on but unable to do that as wouldn’t be able to remove easily when we want out kitchen units repainted in time. Secondly, I have an expensive bespoke kitchen so would not want to use glue on the doors. Not a cheap purchase so expected better.
