Claimed to be 44-lb bag, I weighed on my bathroom scale with and without and think it’s closer to 42. The variety is ruby red made in Mexico. The advertisement looks more like the kind that grows around me in California, but the quality is still good. The price is also better than the other distributor I was using previously
