I have used my new Maelstrom Stir Plate twice now for creating yeast starters for upcoming brews. Bought this to replace my previous stir plate when I had trouble getting contact when trying to make a 3L starter with my 5L Erlenmeyer flask. No problem with the Maelstrom Stir Plate! Rips through your starter like a warm knife to butter! Could only use #1 setting when using for my 2L flask! Great product!
