Field Sling

I love this thing

Great product, well made, great design. Tired of having your phone in your back pocket pulling your pants down and/ or sitting on your phone. The perfect thing for carrying… phone, dog treats, bug spray etc, with easy access. Great design on the clasp!

Almost the perfect size

I have more than one sling bag. I keep looking for the perfect sling. This sling is so close to being perfect. It's got a great adjustable strap, the latch works very well and quick to put on or off. The pocket placement is close to perfect (an outside pocket on the back might have made sense). Size is the question. From an exterior perspective, the size is perfect. From an interior perspective the inside is almost as good. It fits my sunglass case and either a Field Notes sized system or it works well with A6 sized system. It's for this reason I've gone to an A6 journal. We'll see how that works over time. Lochby does sell a larger version that might fit A5 (I'm not sure whether A5 will fit). I opted for the smaller version. If that ends up not working, I'll get the larger size. I think I've articulated my issues. Dang! Don't you wish Dr. Who was designing these things???

I already enjoy the Lochby Field Sling Plus. And while many owners of the original Field Sling celebrated the arrival of the larger bag, I soon discovered that the smaller Lochby Field Sling was often just enough to empty my pockets of the items that I carried most. I see purpose and value in owning both the Field Sling and the Field Sling Plus.
