Empress Platinum

What I needed.

I started on a self wellness journey over 4 years ago, that has led me to hair, body and skin self care. I was able to transform my body and skin, but needed one more item to complete Ihe journey. Something that said “I am worth the time. ” I always enjoyed using a guasha, but this one is different. A thoughtfully made one. This closes out my morning and evening skincare routine with 10 minutes to reflect on on me and how far I have come. This is a well designed guasha.

Glad I purchased it. The quality is really good and it feels so cool to the touch. Perfect for my nighttime routine.

When deciding whether to get the Platinum or the Empress stone, I went with the Platinum because my last Empress broke in my carry on traveling. I went with the platinum to prevent me from having to buy a third Empress Stone, and the quality is amazing. However, I don’t love how this is so cold. The website did compare the 2 stating the Platinum is cooling and the Stone is warm, and I can definitely tell the difference. I didn’t realize the stone was warm to touch and didn’t think the platinum would be much different but it is! Especially in the winter months. I also don’t love that the grooves are only on one side so when you go to the other side of your face, you’re not getting the grooves. I haven’t quite figured out how to manage that. I do love that I will have this for years to come. To prevent it from being cold on my face, I run it under really hot water to warm it up.
