Mesa MAWS2113E Adjustable Wall Safe

The safe is fine, but the instructions need to be revised. Installation was difficult. The instructions did not factor in the length of the screws used to secure the telescoping back. These screws stick out of the sides making the width more than 14 inches. You must allow more than 14 inches for the width. Also, the instructions for programming the safe mentions a red program button. The program button on my safe is green.

Adjustable Wall Safe

This was purchased for a 2x6 wall. Overall a quick install since l needed parts and l have bolts, nuts, washers ect on hand. The extra depth is handy as on most, the lock mech takes up space. Put padding on shelfs to add a cushion. Programing was fairly quick. Comes with interior light but l don't use it. Overall l would buy again for a 2x6 wall but not a 2x4 as my other safe is non adjustable and slightly better with lock mech to the side not middle...

Easy Installation

The installation was super easy, and everything fits nicely as it should. The safe width is a 1/2" narrower than a standard stud cavity, so you shouldn't need to worry about getting unlucky with framing that's slightly off. My only critique is that the instructions were unclear about programming a new code. Nowhere did it mention that you had to end your code a letter "A" or "B", but you do. So that took some figuring out. Overall very happy now that it's installed and programmed.
