I have had the older version and now have tried the new. They both work great ( hate to admit, but tried them out on the trail) great protection though. My only concern is that the sleeves are a bit long. I think there is too much material and they tend to roll down off the thigh. I tend to fold them over a little bit. The pro is that the packaging that they come in is a front fork fender ! Awesome. 👏. As always the TLD gear is some of the best out there. Highly recommended.

Better than the old Stage

The wider cuff at the top (quad) is a warm welcome compared to the old cuff. The pad stays in place better, thanks to the upper cuff, is more comfortable on long pedals, and stays in place when crashed on. The only reason I’m giving this 4/5 stars is the calf opening is tight. I don’T have huge calves and would almost consider going up in size to to the tightness.

Comfortable and snug. They stay put. Maybe not as much coverage as the OG stage but i like them.
