First the pros: great concept, great production quality, good online tools such as playlist and table generator. Cons: ambiguous and confusing protocol, little support (tried asking questions on various forums and sites), and no examples of play. For me it’s been unplayable. I’ve tried 3 times to start a game and get caught up each time. For example, you degrade dice after every check, there is a way to reset your character attrivutes, but no listed way to reset your ship attributes. You can get mixed information from tables when scanning your location one table says it’s occupied and another saying unoccupied. I’ve watched several playtheoughs online, including with the designer, and they seem to get caught up on some of the same issues I have, but they just make up something for the story and move on. So, if you don’t mind ambiguous (pirates) or even confusing rules and protocols, and can just plow through creating a story, this may not be an issue for you.

Fantastic little book. Someone probably should have told the editor that hyperlinks don't work in physical copies. Otherwise a wonderful little system for solo play.
