5212 hooks are light weight but sized right for many dry and wet flies. Size #14 or smaller are hard to come by.

Quality made at a reasonable price

I use these hooks for small beetles and nymphs. They are slightly thinner than standard hooks, but are still strong. The lighter weight helps beetles float and nymph bodies look more natural. They are now my go-to hook.

Sizing Seems Small

Overall a nice hook in terms of quality, however to me it seems smaller than another brand I regularly use for size 16 flies, I found the J2 was closer to an 18. I do appreciate that it can be obtained in 100 packs, and it’s a good value.
