deceptive titiling, disturbing company

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience with Blue Unicorn products and feel consumers deserve transparency. I purchased one of their protein bars because it was marketed as containing “plant-based protein,” which reasonably led me to believe the product was vegan. As someone who follows a strict vegan lifestyle for ethical and religious reasons, this was extremely important to me. After eating the bar, I noticed the gelatinous texture but initially trusted the labeling and marketing. Later, after feeling sick and reviewing the ingredients more carefully, I realized the product contains collagen — an animal-derived protein sourced from slaughtered animals such as cows and pigs. This means the product is not vegan and not even vegetarian. Marketing a product around “plant-based protein” while including collagen is deeply misleading. Consumers who avoid animal products for ethical, religious, or health reasons rely on companies to market products honestly and clearly. Beyond the legal concerns around potentially deceptive labeling, this reflects a serious lack of care toward consumers who make intentional dietary choices. I hope Blue Unicorn takes accountability for this issue and reevaluates how these products are marketed moving forward.

Love these! Think chocolate covered marshmallows but great macros and ingredients. They are nice and fluffy. My only suggestion is the little sprinkles are not needed and sort of out of place for this type bar.

The bars were great, but the shipping not so much. Not the fault of the company, but it took two weeks to get my bars.
