Underseen De Palma film

I've long been a Brian De Palma fan. He's underrated and too often dismissed as a Hitchcock imitator. Nothing Hitchcock like here. This is essentially a found footage movie discussing a horrifying event that I somehow had not heard about. It's pretty telling that something this awful could fade away from public memory so quickly. Touches on issues of violence and depiction of violence. Filming horrible things shown as both cynical self promotion and the only way to actually change things. Well made and interesting on low budget.

Under-appreciated Brian De Palma

Brian De Palma's found footage foray is something of a footnote in his unbelievable career, yet it's a totally vital account of a heinous period in our history. Stunning stuff. Gorgeously restored
