I bought this phone because I was having eye strain reading at night, and I do think the phone has helped with that. The phone seemed like it was fine spec wise as well, so I was excited to have a great phone at a good price. However, after using the phone for the better part of a week, I must report that there are some rather annoying things about this phone. First of all, the NXTPAPER button does not work with a magsafe case!! I was shocked to find that there are ZERO ways to enable the NXTPAPER mode in the software!!! How is that even possible!? Please give us a software option to turn on the MAIN FEATURE OF THE PHONE!!! (Especially when my magsafe case makes it impossible to use the button!!!) I have some other complaints, such as basic Android features being made inaccessible. For example, it is IMPOSSIBLE to turn off the charging sound. Why would you take away this option from users? It is a basic feature in Android, and was actually REMOVED by you. The same goes for toggles to hide the bluetooth and NFC icons in the notification bar. I also had some issues with receiving notifications (particularly from gmail) due to the battery saving features in the phone. Please enable a simple way to disable all of this so I can make sure I will get my notifications. A couple of other small bugs: vibrate on keypress does not work, and "hey google" does not work with the screen off. Finally, I find that the "lift device to wake" feature works very poorly. The accelerometer needs to be made more sensitive so it can actually know when I pick my phone up. My former phone (pixel 7) never had a problem with this. But now, it is almost impossible to have the screen turn on automatically when taking the phone out of my pocket. I would love to be contacted by TCL about these issues and a couple of other small gripes I have about the phone. I took the time to write this review because I have a TCL TV and I really like it, and I think the phone is innovative and I hope TCL can do well in the US market. But please hear this important feedback from your early US mobile adopters!! Please reach out to me for further feedback or clarification. Thank you!
