Huge improvement.
Wesley P bass now sounds like a PB should Tone control has increased sensitivity and there is a significant increase in volume on my Peavey 115 400w (I know, 2nd cab required for full 400w). Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recommend.

Incredible versatile pickup
Used this pickup to upgrade my Vintage V40 P bass copy. Sounds incredible and by riding the volume and tone I can get all the tones I could ever want.

Great, punchy P-Bass sound
I've used a range of different Tonerider pickups now and been extremely happy with all of them. The Duke P is no different in this respect, sound- and quality wise. I've never owned a P-bass before but am of course familiar with the punchy, round sound that permeates so many of the rock (and other) songs that I have loved across the years. These pickups gave me that sound in a cheap project bass I have just finished, as I hoped they would. As usual, my experience convinces me that I get the same (or better) service, packaging and performance with Tonerider pickups as I would with pickups that cost 2 or 3 times as much. I just have one whinge about this particular pickup, that I suspect, from what I have read, would also be the same if I had bought it from another manufacturer. I had some highly annoying ground noise once I had completed the wiring that I couldn't get rid of until I found a trick online that involved grounding the exposed back of the pickup's pole pieces, using copper tape and wires connecting the tape to the pickup ground. Once I performed this hack, the noise problem was solved immediately and the tone was exactly what I had hoped for, punchy and full. My next project is also a P-bass and I'll be interested to see if I have to use the same hack with the Tonerider Classic P I have ordered for this project.
