A standard for the pros is being able to Clean in Place. So we made an option available for homebrewers as well! A first in the field, this stainless steel lid has a port for a CIP ball so your cleanup is easier and more efficient. Recommended for all our Tanks and bottom drain system. The CIP Lid will also work for all OG kettles as well...

CIP Lid for 10 Gal Spike Brew Kettle
I do not know if my brew kettle top is warped or the lid is not sized correctly but it is a tight fit to get it to seat properly and then within 30 seconds the lid will unset and pop out.

CIP Lid
Overall the CIP works like it's supposed to kettle was clean and no scrubbing, the biggest issue I had was the amount of water and cleaner that escapes the lid. I used some spring clamps around the lid and that helped some. I'd love to see some sort of rubber gasket that could sit around the lip of the lid, I think that would solve a lot of the water. I think if it had a similar type gasket and way to tighten the lid as the conicals it would work incredibly well.
