Surprisingly good!
I never heard of this film before so it was a blind buy. I am a big fan of 90s horror and camp films so I thought it was great. Carol Kane is always a treat to watch. Transfer looks great as usual from VS.

Obscure , yes. Good, well. . . .
Let's face it. The state of horror cinema in the 90's was pretty grim when it came to theatrical releases. Sure, there was a small handful of decent ones, but most had to be heavily butchered to get that ever elusive R-rating. With most being neutered to the point of being unwatchable. Don't get me wrong though. There were good horror films produced during that decade, but most were indie, low budget, or had a very short limited-engagement theatrical run. Unfortunately, this one falls into the mediocre/on-the-fence category. While this one has a bit of gore, and a lot of solid dark humor, the chatty office gossip vibe of certain scenes seem to detract a bit from the overall product. Not enough to derail the film, but enough to hamper some of the heavy dialogue parts. The film had all of the elements to be better, but the execution didn't exactly hit the mark. The transfer and box packaging are nice. Maybe too nice, for a film that's kind of average though.
