physical wire not labeled only packaging

I have always thought wire insulation or sheathing was required to be labeled. I did not see anything. If lost or the wire gets separated from packaging I wouldn't know what it is. If labeling is not required I'd give 3 stars since I'll still have to research, measure, and inspect to ensure I have what I think I do. (10ga TXL single conductor stranded wire)
