Square-X Sharp Set

First time user after seeing ads for a couple of years. I'm a senior player coming back to the game after a few years off. I didn't start playing until I was 51 and when I began my journet, it was with my son so I learned the modern game. That means arm and shoulder abuse - especially with modern equipment such as stiff rackets and poly strings. At the start of this year, I tracked down several old, flexible rackets for sale on Ebay. My goal was to get some to use for practice to save my bod. I now carry rackets like the original Head Prestige Classic and 600, Rossignols and even some Yonex frames. These rackets are heavy BUT flexible. I quickly learned they allowed me to hit till I was I was tired - not sore. At first I was using multi and syn gut strings to preserve the arm but eventually went back to poly and was fine. Not sure if my technique has improved or if it was because I was using such flexible sticks. Then the Head Squared was released followed by the Yonex Muse and suddenly I had modern equipment with Flex! I now carry 3 Squares and 3 Muse frames and find all of them to be "arm friendly" - even when fitted with Polys. I then started experimenting with strings. I tried Toroline, Solincos big 3, Luxilon. Volkyl Cyclone and others. For my game, I find strings with an edge get me the best amount of spin even though round crosses are supposedly better performing. As many of you know, playing with edges tends to be more abusive to the arm and they don't wear the best but for me, I just love the spin and control. And after playing the Square X Sharp, a 4 sided string in a thin gauge, I'm happy to say they're not only arm friendly and generate tons of spin, they also provide very good feel. I'll be replacing my Hyper G's with this string which are about half of my sticks. And though I've yet to try the Quadro Twist set I also purchased, I'm hoping they're similar for my game. The only reason I didn't use them first is due to their thickness. I only found a 16 and I prefer a thinner string which is why I started with Square-X. Any chance the Quadro will be available in a thinner gauge or did I just miss it on your site? Thanks for your attention to detail and communication with your customers. I was not as comfortable with Square strings. While they provide increased spin, it did not fit my style of play. The string felt a bit heavy even at 18 gauge. I felt my pace drop and had to swing a bit harder, which could affect the feel in my arm. I much prefer the Hexagon X and will continue playing with those at 45 lb.

Finally got my racquets back from my stringer and played yesterday. These square strings have such sharp corners! They really grab the ball. If you use spin, you want these strings.
