My schnauzer actually interacts and loves to attack the flag. It’s so great for her mind that needs challenged! I’ve used it inside and outside, but she prefers outside. This is a neat, easy-to-use system that really does help pups burn some energy in a short amount of time-yes, she gets tired pretty fast and I appreciate the short session times!! I would like to get the hand-held remote, but it was sold out last time I checked.

My dog loves it, which is great, and generally speaking it does work, but there is a bit of constructive criticism I feel worth sharing. The main problem I have with it is the soft pink ring around the center of the drive pulley needs to be better secured around the top and bottom edges of it, because when the string is not perfectly level it will naturally tend to move up towards the grey plastic area and end up working its way between the hard plastic and the pink friction pad, causing a groove to form that pushes that pink pad towards the center while also seemingly grinding away at it. As that groove becomes larger, the string finds its way into it easier, and when it gets caught in that groove it can either add or release tension, sometimes causing the machine to overheat or the string to slip, both situations require me to stop and adjust the string. My fix to this was to simply coat the entire pulley in electrical tape, but I feel like instead of using one large horizontal friction pad, the design would be more effective if you used a sequence of thin, taller, vertical friction pads with the plastic housing between them.

I am having trouble getting the space prepared. Our lawn grows lumpy so I can use it only after mowing the lawn. Otherwise the motor seems to overheat. I wondered if I could elevate the equipment on boards maybe.
