Everything you need in a downhill board and nothing you don’t.

Kurt Derow’s experience with the Orbiter.
The Comet orbiter is a fairly small yet not large downhill skateboard.. it works excellently as a slalom downhill deck being what I’d call the perfect tool for the job at roads like Maryhill and any local mountain bombs. Yet it freerides well too, being narrow and nimble yet solid and capable of sendy slides. Now I would not recommend this board as a freestyle/ Freeride deck. It is not made for that, it can do it, yes, but just does not excel in it. Where it really comes to life is technical curvy roads with slides and tuck leaning being the majority of the fun having. The older versions stiffness left something to be desired as a downhill board but I never had any problems getting in the way of my skating from it. It’s a point and go kind of vibe and it’s nimbleness and comfortable platform will make it your go to for navigating new lines, and new roads. Great for garages too!

This is a fantastic complete for those folks that are interested in jumping into slalom truck downhill. No need to change anything out of the box - you can take the orbiter straight from the box to the mountain without any worries. I've also taken the board apart to add wider trucks for freeride and the orbiter does great - just remember that the flush mounts are both angled forward so you will add ~3 degrees of turning angle to both trucks. I tested on caliber 3 44* R and had a lot of fun sliding around Berkeley, CA. The orbiter is an absolute rip and will keep you comfortable and stable for most descents.
